The Hartzell’s
The Hartzell family resides on 10,000 acre working cattle ranch in the small community of Paulina, a short 45 minute drive from Prineville in beautiful Central Oregon. We started with our first Shorty Jack ‘Sadie’ in 2020. After falling in love with Sadie and enjoying her companionship, we sought out and acquired Rowdy in 2022. We decided to engage our decades of experience in animal husbandry to breed and share Shorty Jacks with others by breeding Sadie once per year and sending her litter to a wonderful forever home. Our thorough understanding of our Shortys’ temperaments, behavior, and health needs, allows us to produce high-quality Shorty Jacks that make great companions for years to come.
Sadie - Our Dam
Sadie was our introduction to Shorty Jacks! She has become our wonderful companion and led us to love this breed. Sadie spends her days accompanying us on the ranch as we work outdoors and inside. She love’s to chase birds around yard and roam the large open spaces she calls home. When she’s done playing, she retires inside our home and relaxes. Sadie loves human companionship and is a pleasure for us to enjoy.
Rowdy - Our Sire
Rowdy is one of the ranches hardest workers. He loves riding on an ATV while we change irrigation water. Our large ranch shop is his second home! He has a great personality and is a wonderful companion. Rowdy has great manners inside our home and he enjoys relaxing with Sadie after a long days work.
Purchase Requirements, Health and Registration
Each Shorty Jack puppy will be sold with dewclaws removed, tails docked, all shots up to date and preregistration paperwork completed.
Puppy's are priced at $1200.
ONLY 1 LITTER PER YEAR IS AVAILABLE.
A $300 Deposit is required. Payments can be made via PayPal, Check or Cash. Full payment is required prior to taking ownership of your new puppy.
Shipping is available for $500 + airfare. Health certificates and registration papers are included. Your puppy will be accompanied by a human companion. Please contact us to discuss shipping arrangements.
